WL Police seize meth, heroin during traffic stop
Late Tuesday night, West Linn Police seized a total of 116 grams of methamphetamine and heroin after apprehending a man who fled on foot during a traffic stop.
According to police, officers pulled the car over around 10:40 p.m. near Dollar Street and River Heights Circle. The driver, 39-year-old Lonnie Sahm, fled on foot into a nearby wooded area. The officers called in backup from the Lake Oswego Police and the Portland Police Bureau K9 unit, setting up a perimeter before eventually finding Sahm and taking him into custody.
The passenger in the vehicle, meanwhile, told officers that Sahm threw a package in his lap when he left the vehicle. That package, according to police, contained 102 grams of suspected methamphetamine and 14 grams of suspected heroin.
Sahm was lodged at Clackamas County Jail on charges of delivery of a controlled substance-methamphetamine, possession of a controlled substance-methamphetamine, delivery of a controlled substance-heroin, possession of a controlled substance-heroin and eluding.
