Grants available for county businesses
Clackamas Workforce Partnership has limited grant funds available on a first come, first served basis for healthcare, manufacturing, tech or construction businesses in Clackamas County. The grants are to be used for:
— Hiring a pool of candidates (5 to 12) for the same position, and could partially cover the cost of customized training, or
— Hiring an individual or group (1 to 5) for the same or different positions (training).
Sotheby's acquires Park Place Real Estate
Cascade Sotheby's International Realty has acquired Park Place Real Estate. Park Place was formed in 2004 by the husband and wife team of Steve and Evelyn Rosling, who bring 22 years of local expertise in the Portland metro real estate market along with a team of 25 top performing brokers. With the addition of Park Place, Cascade Sotheby's increases market share in the luxury, new construction and land development sectors and enhances local presence west of the Cascades.

Bettencourt joines Orthopedic + Fracture Specialists
R. Brian Bettencourt, M.D., has joined the practice of Sports Medicine Primary Care at Orthopedic + Fracture Specialists. He most previously practiced at Kaiser Permanente.
Athletes and active people make up a significant part of his practice as he serves as a team physician for Pacific University, University of Portland, Portland Community College and supports several local youth teams and organizations. With Bettencourt's association, Orthopedic + Fracture Specialists will continue to build its Sports Medicine for Excellence wiht a concussion program to further service teams with a comprehensive, full-service orthopedic experience.
Bettencourt graduated college with a degree in neurobiology and physiology from UC Davis. After graduating from Jefferson Medical College in Philadelphia, he completed his family medicine residency and primary care sports medicine fellowship at the University of South Alabama where he stayed on as faculty at the College of Medicien and became the Team Physician for Division 1 athletics prior to moving to Portland in 2012.
The 818 Lounge opens in Oregon City
Yvonne Haney, Raymond Haney and Christopher Larsen are the owners of The 818 Lounge, a new dining establishment in downtown Oregon City. The restaurant will feature seasonal, locally sourced New American cuisine and a curated craft cocktail menu. The father-daughter team of Yvonne Haney and Raymond Haney opened Yvonne's in November 2014, which quickly became a brunch hotspot in the historic district of Oregon City.
The owners plan to remodel in mid-2019, to double seating, and eventually add catering on and offsite to for private events.
