Arrest was made in Lake Oswego with help from LOPD; suspects stole more than $37,000 worth of items

West Linn and Lake Oswego police collaborated to track down three robbery suspects Monday night after an incident at the West Linn Verizon Store on Willamette Drive.

The suspects — 34-year-old Michael Joseph Park, 35-year-old Michael James Atkinson and 35-year-old Chris Shaun To — stole $37,058 worth of items according to police. They were each charged with second degree kidnapping, coercion, first degree theft, second degree robbery and first degree robbery.

Park, Atkinson and To were lodged at Clackamas County Jail and scheduled to be arraigned at 3 p.m. Tuesday.

The robbery at the store was reported by an employee, who was unharmed, at about 8 p.m. The suspects left the store in a vehicle and officers tracked them with Verizon's help, according to West Linn Police spokesperson Jeff Halverson.

WLPD and LOPD eventually conducted a traffic stop in Lake Oswego and took the suspects into custody.

On Tuesday, Halverson said detectives were still working on the case and WLPD was not able to release any additional information.
