Information for the public safety column comes from the public records of the West Linn Police Department. Authorities recently logged information on the following incidents:

12/16/19 3:15 p.m. A caller told police they found a McDonalds bag with needles in it in the 1800 block of Blankenship Road.

12/17/19 8:37 a.m. A 78-year-old woman told police that her neighbor's dog jumped the fence into her yard and was now panicked. People were able to get the dog back to his owner's yard.

12/17/19 8:58 a.m. A man called about several student cars parked in the permitted areas on Broadway and Buse Streets. Police found the cars belonged to homeowners and the others had guest permits.

12/17/19 10:30 a.m. Police received information about a threat made against a West Linn High School bus driver three years ago.

12/17/19 11:28 a.m. A man told police he was hit by a tree branch while riding his bike to the dentist.

12/17/19 4:24 p.m. A woman in the 1900 block of Furlong Drive told police that two men are currently cleaning her car and she had discovered her pain pills were missing. She said the cleaners were still there but she was afraid to confront them.

12/17/19 6:52 p.m. Police received a call about two drivers yelling at each other after one of them sped their truck toward the other.

12/18/19 8:00 a.m. Someone told police that a man stole cash from Kaady Carwash and fled on foot.

12/18/19 10:15 a.m. Someone asked police check on their son.

12/18/19 10:26 a.m. A man told police his wife took an identity document from him a year previously and filed harassment charges against him with Oregon City police.

12/18/19 1:48 p.m. An accident occurred on Willamette Drive.

12/18/19 4:09 p.m. Police received a call from someone reporting that their ex-roomate came into their yard to steal a pressure-washer. Police found the former roomate still had a key after moving out a few weeks ago and the pressure-washer belonged to him.

12/18/19 5:38 p.m. Someone in the 2200 block of Rogue Way told police packages were stolen of their porch in the last 30 minutes. Police found the packages next door because the houses didn't have visible numbers.

12/18/19 5:41 p.m. A caller told police someone stole $200 worth of gift cards and cupcakes from their unlocked car on Willamette Falls Drive.

12/19/19 10:51 a.m. A woman told police a truck slowly came down her cul-de-sac and its occupants were looking into other cars.

12/19/19 11:55 a.m. A caller told police they saw a mustached man in a trench coat with what looked like a gun in the pocket. The caller said the man was with a child.

12/19/19 9:28 p.m. An Uber driver told police that they were afraid to drive in West Linn because they saw a fast driver.
