Volunteers will be at Resurrection Catholic Parish at 21060 SW Stafford Road from 9 a.m. to noon Tuesdays and Thursdays to hand out food boxes.

According to the Archdiocese of Portland Catholic Churches, the church network is working with the U.S. Department of Agriculture and Pacific Coast Fruit to provide 275,000 food boxes per month to Oregonians.

The giving program does not require people to demonstrate a need to receive boxes. Simply show up at a participating church at the scheduled time, and pick up a box.

Currently, the first phase of the food box program is set to end at the end of June, though it may be extended several months if it is successful and funding is available.
