Residents displaced after Monday afternoon duplex fire; one taken to hospital

Crews from Tualatin Valley Fire & Rescue Station 58 responded to a residential fire at the 1400 block of Village Park Place at 2:47 p.m. Monday afternoon.

According to TVF&R, the fire was limited to two bedrooms and a hallway, but both units of the duplex were rendered uninhabitable.

American Medical Response treated and transported one person to a hospital following the fire.

Crews extinguished the fire in around 10 minutes, according to TVF&R.

Residents of the two units were displaced, though TVF&R noted they are being assisted by the Red Cross.
