West Linn suffragette display marks centennial celebration
The West Linn Historical Society has honored the female pioneers who fought for women's suffrage with displays of the suffragettes in West Linn Parks.
The celebration marks the 100th anniversary of the passage of the 19th amendment to the Constitution on Aug. 18, 1920, which secured the right to vote for most women in the United States.
The displays of several famous suffragettes could be found in several West Linn parks over the past few weeks.
