Bellagios gives away 111 pizzas as thank you to West Linn neighbors for helping each other during hardship.

With homes throughout West Linn without power for the fifth consecutive day Tuesday, Feb. 16, Bellagios Pizza provided residents with a little warmth and comfort by giving away more than 100 pizzas.

With the pizzeria on Willamette Falls Drive still without power, the Bellagios crew operated out of its food truck Tuesday afternoon.

Manager Krista Doving Nigro said handing out free pizzas for the community was Bellagios' way of saying thank you to all the neighbors who have come together to support one another over the past several days.

Doving Nigro mentioned she's seen countless social media posts from West Linn community members offering propane tanks or generators to one another, as well as people helping to clear away debris and even fostering neighbors' reptiles so they stay warm.

"It was amazing to see people helping people and we wanted to give back the best way we knew how: hot pizza, especially those for those folks who still have no power," she said.

According to Doving Nigro, most of the Bellagios West Linn employees have also been without power in their own homes.

"Those of us that are able have offered our homes for showers, hot meals and charging. Everyone has been checking on each other," she said.
