PMG PHOTO: BRIAN MONIHAN - A West Linn Public Works truck plows snow on Sunday, Dec. 26. Public Works will continue to monitor, plow and de-ice local roads. After another couple of inches of snow fell in West Linn Monday night, several streets throughout the city were closed due to hazardous conditions Tuesday morning, Dec. 28. However temperatures slowly rising throughout the day meant all roads within city limits were open once again come Tuesday afternoon.

The icy conditions also prompted the closures of city facilities including City Hall, the West Linn Police Station and Adult Community Center. The West Linn Public Library will be open from 12-4 p.m. Tuesday.

During inclement weather, West Linn Public Works regularly patrols local roads to determine which routes may need to close due to snow or ice.

West Linn's Emergency Management Coordinator Brenna Cruz said Skye Parkway from Troon Drive to Hillside Drive and Skyline Drive from West A Street to Summit Street were closed as of Tuesday morning, while Hidden Springs Road from Bluegrass Way to Cottonwood Court was open only to uphill traffic.

These roads may reopen and others may close as conditions change. Cruz said public works crews will continue to plow, de-ice and sand local roads.
