Thieves bust open ATM in West Linn
Thieves broke open a Chase Bank ATM in West Linn early Monday morning Jan. 17, according to the West Linn Police Department.
WLPD Public Information Officer Bill Garland said the bank's alarm company contacted police dispatch around 2:30 a.m. Monday to report the robbery at the bank on Blankenship Road.
"They had a pickup that was stolen and chained that up to the ATM, tore the ATM open and got an unknown amount of cash," Garland said.
A Chase spokesperson said the investigation was ongoing and the bank was working with local law enforcement.
