Officially titled the 2017 Daimler All-Star Series, this annual event is a North vs. South battle of Oregon's top graduated senior baseball stars.

The first pitch for Saturday's opener is slated for 2:30 p.m. The Oregon All-Star Series will conclude with a doubleheader starting at 10 a.m. Sunday.

Cosner earned his place in the lineup with an all-star senior season that saw him lead the Lions to a Three Rivers League championship and a runner-up finish in the Class 6A state playoffs. West Linn dropped a 5-1 decision to Clackamas in the state title tilt.

The team's center fielder, Cosner batted .412 this year (best among the Lions' regulars) with one home run, six doubles, a team-leading 47 hits, 26 RBIs and 31 runs scored.
