Rainbow Warriors take second in 10U Gold
The West Linn Softball 10U Rainbow Warriors finished their fall ball season with a bang, securing a second-place finish in the 10U Gold Bracket of the NAFA Fall Finals.
The team's success came behind the pitching of Audrey Tiffany, Alexa Cornell and Meg Allen, the catching of Quinn Meade and Logan Levasseur, and the hitting and fielding of Cadence Cox, McKenna Morgan, Madyson Muresan and Emily Newton.
The team started out Sunday play as the bottom seed, then beat the third-seeded Portland Fireballs 11-10, followed with a 9-7 victory over top-seeded South Beaverton, and finally, dropped a 15-10 decision to the Eastside Rough Riders team in the championship.
The team also included Lilly Fearing, Haylie Hall and Savanna Sullivan, and was coached by Craig Tiffany, Jack Snook, Ron Levasseur and Amber Cornell.
The tournament was held throughout the Metro area, with the Warriors playing on Saturday at the Newberg Softball Crater Complex, and on Sunday, at the Keizer Little League complex.
