The Lions lead late, but the Wildcats break through to win in Friday's sixth inning

The West Linn baseball team did almost everything it needed to do.

The Lions, playing at top-ranked Westview in the Class 6A state quarterfinals on Friday, scored first, boosted their lead late and pushed the Wildcats to the wall.

But Westview tied the game in the bottom of the fifth inning, then scored four times in the sixth to beat the Lions 5-3.

A big game like that deserves great photos, so here's a slideshow of the best images from the Friday's game. Click on the big "X" in the upper right-hand corner of the slideshow for fullscreen, then click through and click through again to pick out your favorites.
