The West Linn Debutantes won two second-place trophies at West Albany on Saturday, Nov. 23, posting runner-up finishes in both the large Contemporary Dance Division and the Large Pom Division.

The Debs won their Trophy in the competitive Large Contemporary Dance Division dancing to the song "The Village." The fast paced, hard-hitting Pom remix song, paired with effective choreography, earned the Debutantes another second-place trophy in the Large Pom Division.

"We are very inspired by this fantastic placement at our last scheduled Fall Category Competition," said West Linn coach Karalee Kyllo. "These girls have been very focused on improving their skills and showmanship. We are thankful for this recognition and appreciate all the comments from judges to help us improve as individuals and a team."

The West Linn Debutantes' efforts also pre-qualified the team to compete at the Dance Drill Coaches Association of Oregon category championships on Dec. 7.
