Wilsonville Police also connected Artemio Trenado Trejo with another case in which a woman was allegedly harrassed

by: CLACKAMAS COUNTY SHERIFFS OFFICE - TRENADO-TREJOPolice arrested a man on suspicion of using a cell phone camera to take pictures up a woman’s skirt at the Wilsonville Rite Aid.

Artemio Trenado Trejo, 24, was taken to the Clackamas County Jail and charged with one count of harassment in the May 13 incident and later released.

He was free for less than a day, though. An officer investigating a May 3 incident — in which a woman says she was harassed in the parking lot of the local Fred Meyer — soon pegged Trejo as the suspect in that case.

In the Rite Aid incident, police say a woman was looking at items on a shelf when she felt something touch her leg. She reportedly saw Trejo crouched behind her and using a cell phone to apparently take photos up her skirt. Store employees detained Trejo until police arrived, according to authorities.

In the earlier incident at Fred Meyer, police say a woman reported she was approached "very aggressively" by a Latino man. The woman told officers she made it clear she had no interest in talking with the man, but he persisted and even tried to reach inside her vehicle. She rolled her window up on his arm, forcing him to pull it back, and drove off.

Police say they were able to connect the two cases thanks to footage from a Fred Meyer security camera. It showed the suspect approaching the woman from behind and her attempt to walk away. Police quickly came to believe that the man in the footage was Trejo. The man in the video reportedly was wearing a shirt identical to the one Trejo was wearing when he was arrested on May 13.

Deputies returned to Trejo's place of employment and took him into custody a second time. He was lodged once again in the Clackamas County Jail and now faces charges of unlawful entry into a motor vehicle and harassment.

Investigating officers believe Trejo may be involved with similar incidents. Trejo is described as standing 5'6" tall and weighing around 180 pounds. He has brown eyes and black hair.

Police are urging anyone with information on additional victims contact non-emergency dispatch at 503-655-8211.
