Champoeg State Heritage Area will host a free fishing day for the public from 11 a.m.-7 p.m. Saturday, June 7, at the Champoeg Public Boat Dock in the Oak Grove Day Use Area.

Bring your favorite rod and reel, there will be bait provided for everyone. Limited tackle will be available, and you should probably bring a life jacket for any small children in tow. No fishing license is required for this event, so bring the whole family and cast a line. The only charge is the $5 day use parking fee.
