BUSINESS NETWORKING — Wilsonville Chamber of Commerce after-hours networking event from 5-7 p.m. at Green Group Real Estate, 27350 S.W. 95th Ave., #3030. Guests are welcome; be sure to bring business cards.

BUDGET COMMITTEE — The Wilsonville Budget Committee meets for the first time May 30 at 29799 S.W. Town Center Loop East. This is a public meeting.

MEET THE ARTIST — A reception for artist Don Gray, book illustrator and muralist, will be held from 6-8 p.m. at St. Francis of Assisi Episcopal Church, 8818 N.E. Miley Road. Light refreshments will be served. Gray will be available to discuss his work and to answer questions. Young artists and students are particularly welcome to attend and learn from the established and popular artist.

HISTORICAL DRAMA — An original play by local newcomer Rachel Lulich, "The Confessing Church" will debut at 7 p.m. The play is a historical drama about the response of the Protestant Church to Hitler and his worldview in 1930s Germany. Performances will be held at Lake Bible Church, 4565 Carman Dr, Lake Oswego, Oregon. Tickets are free, with donations appreciated. Reserve your tickets at www.lakebiblechurch.com.

CITY COUNCIL — Wilsonville City Council meeting at 7 p.m. is open to the public, 29799 S.W. Town Center Loop E. A prior work session, to begin immediately after a 5 p.m. executive session, is also open to the public. See the agenda at www.ci.wilsonville.or.us.

DISCOVER NATURE — Discovery Day will be held for Clackmas Community College's newly restored Environmental Learning Center. The event will include a short program, dedication of the Giving Tree, a blessing from the Confederated Tribes of Grand Ronde and time to explore the trails. The community is invited to this Discovery Day from 1:30-3:30 p.m., on the Oregon City campus, 19600 Molalla Ave.

SYMPHONY — Willamette Symphony will perform selections from Gershwin, Nancy Galbraith, Howard Hanson and Hovhaness June 10 at Oregon City United Methodist Church, 18955 S. End Road, Oregon City. The performance begins at 3 p.m. and a silent auction will be held as well. Tickets at the door only, $15 adult, senior/student $10.

ART SHOW — Clackamas Community College's student art show runs through June 7 in the Alexander Gallery. The show is a juried exhibition that showcases CCC students' exploration of disciplines throughout the year. The show will include painting, drawing, sculpture, ceramics, photography, digital design and jewelry making. The Alexander Gallery is located in the Niemeyer Center on the Oregon City campus, 19600 Molalla Ave. The gallery is open Monday-Friday, 9 a.m. to 5 p.m.
