HISTORY TALK — Join the Clackamas County Historical Society for a lecture on Peter Burnett by noted West Linn history author R. Greogory Nokes. Burnett organized one of the first wagon trains to Oregon, opened a wagon road from Oregon to California and eventually served as the first governor of that state. Presentation will be held at the Museum of the Oregon Territory, 211 Tumwater Drive, Oregon City, at 7 p.m.

PINTS FROM THE PAST — Learn all about the Heppner flood of 1903, a catastrophe that took 247 lives, from author Peg Willis, who wrote a novel set during the pivotal Oregon event. Antonia Ballroom, 221 N. Grant St., Canby, at 7 p.m. Doors open at 6:30 p.m.
