In August the City of Wilsonville is celebrating its 50th anniversary with a citywide 'block party' in Town Center Park. PHOTO OFFBEAT OREGON - (INSET) The Tonquin train station at it appeard shortly before opening in 1908.

SPOKESMAN PHOTO: LESLIE PUGMIRE HOLE - In 1908 when the Tonquin train depot was opened north of Wilsonville, it was an elegant wayside for the newly opened Oregon Electric Railway. Today it still stands but long vacant and now inside city limits near Tonquin Road.
