Grants available in Wilsonville, state seeking land use advisory board member

City seeks grant applications

Wilsonville Parks and Recreation is accepting Community Opportunity Grant applications through Friday, Sept. 28. Each year, the City distributes $25,000 in Community Opportunity Grant awards from its general fund to provide funding for a wide range of local programs and projects in Wilsonville. Applications are available online at WilsonvilleParksandRec.com/GrantPrograms.

The Parks and Recreation Advisory Board reviews applications and awards $12,500 in grant funding twice annually. During the most recent funding cycle, in April, grants were awarded in support of programs at Inza R. Wood Middle School, Wilsonville Little League, West Linn-Wilsonville Music and Arts Partners, World of Speed Motorsports Museum and the Charbonneau Arts Association. Seeking land use advisory board member

Oregon Department of Land Conservation and Development (DLCD) and the Land Conservation and Development Commission (LCDC) are seeking a volunteer to serve as a member of the state's Citizen Involvement Advisory Committee (CIAC) representing the citizens of Oregon in Congressional District 4, and in an at-large capacity. The CIAC is appointed by the Land Conservation and Development Commission (LCDC) to advise LCDC on citizen involvement in land use planning. Completed applications must be received at DLCD by 5 p.m. on Oct. 5, 2018.
