TREE LIGHTING — Wilsonville's annual tree lighting will include music, refreshments, visits with Santa and a toy drive for the needy. The fun begins at 5:30 p.m., 29600 S.W. Place Pl.

ALZHEIMERS — Oregon Care Partners is offering a free workshop on positive approaches to Alzheimer and dementia care. A professional instructor will share real-world experience in an interactive classroom environment from 2-5 p.m. Visit www.oregoncarepartners.com to register.

Thursday, Nov. 29

MUSIC — The Clackamas Community College's Wind Ensemble will play music from Leonard Bernstein's "On the Town" at 7:30 p.m. as well as traditional and modern works from composers, including Camphouse, Gillingham and Maslanka. The CCC Guitar Ensemble will perform Catalan folk songs and put a new spin on an old classic. Niemeyer Osterman Theatre, 19600 Molalla Ave., Oregon City, and admission is $5.

Friday, Nov. 30

MUSIC — Come celebrate the holidays with Clackamas Community College's Chamber and Mainstream choirs at 7:30 p.m.. Performances include a combined set of familiar carols and new takes on old favorites. Both ensembles will also perform classic non-holiday pieces from Franz Schubert and Rogers and Hart. Niemeyer Osterman Theatre, 19600 Molalla Ave., Oregon City, and admission is $5.

Saturday, Dec. 1

ART RECEPTION — A meet-the-artist reception will be held in honor of Oregon City artist, Carol Hansen, Dec. 1 from 4 to 6 p.m at St. Francis of Assisi Episcopal Church, 8818 SW Miley Road in Aurora, where Ms. Hansen's artwork is on display in the church's art gallery. Wine and finger food will be served. 

HOLIDAY SWAG SALE — Wilsonville Garden Club will hold its annual holiday swag sale Dec. 1 from 9 a.m. to 2 p.m. at the Wilsonville Public Library, 8200 S.W. Wilsonville Road. Up for sale will be festive swags, centerpieces and Yule logs, all made by club members. Proceeds go to a scholarship fund for horticulture students.

CANDLELIGHT CHRISTMAS — Old Aurora Colony Museum hosts "Christmas with the Schoolmaster," offering scenes from a 1878 Christmas on the grounds of the colony and a treat of hot cider and cookies. Saturday, Dec. 8

ROB WAGNER — The American Association of University Women Lake Oswego welcomes Sen. Rob Wagner, who represents Oregon Senate District 19, which includes the communities of Tualatin, Lake Oswego, West Linn, Rivergrove, Durham, and Southwest Portland, at a Dec. 8, 10 a.m. meeting at the Oswego Heritage House, 398 10th St. Lake Oswego. This presentation is free (no tickets needed) and the public is invited.

HARLEY DAVIDSON — World of Speed motorsports museum in Wilsonville has opened a new exhibit celebrating Harley-Davidson's long history with the U.S. military and the iconic brand's influence on American culture. The exhibit will feature 10 motorcycles spanning the past century, including a bike ridden by Clarence "Clay" Morrow, played by

Ron Perlman, a fictional character in

the FX television series "Sons of Anarchy."

FOOD DRIVES — Celebrate Irish culture and music at the annual holiday food drives for Schoolhouse Pantry, including a dance Dec. 8 from 7:30-11:30 p.m. Musicians Brian Hart, Preston Howard and Joe Root will provide traditional Irish music and fun. Bring can goods; ticket prices are $12, $10 seniors, veterans and students. Friday, Dec. 7, a food drive will be held in conjunction with a concert by musicians Brian Hart, Preston Howard and Joe Root, with the same ticket prices. Winona Grange, 8340 S.W. NATURESCAPING — Columbia Slough Watershed Council and East Multnomah Soil & Water Conservation District is offering a free workshop to help property owners learn to redesign their landscape to decrease stormwater runoff.
