LOOKING BACK: Fishing at the falls
Salmon fishing at Willamette Falls
— circa 1930
The label of this period postcard is quite specific as to the weight of the fish, as well it should be to honor the proud fisherman. I wonder if the number 6 painted or chalked on the boat indicates it's a rental, or part of a fleet, or...? Anyone know something about that?
As always, I'm struck by the
dapper attire of the companion manning the oars.
