PARKS BOARD — Wilsonville Parks and Recreation Advisory Board meets at 4:30 p.m.; agendas can be found at; 29600 S.W. Park Place.

Saturday, May 11

BULKY WASTE — Twice annually, Bulky Waste Day gives residents the opportunity to drop off large, bulky items that do not fit into standard-size garbage cans. Drop off is at Republic Services, 10295 S.W. Ridder Road, Wilsonville. The program does not accept construction debris of any type, propane bottles or canisters, paint, batteries, solvents, thinners, household garbage or car tires. This event is limited to Wilsonville residents; all participants must provide proof of residence. The event is from 9 a.m. to 1 p.m. There is no charge, though organizers request that participants donate hygiene items — including toilet paper, soap, shampoo, laundry soap, deodorant — that help Wilsonville Community Sharing's Food Bank provide assistance to local families in need.

CEMETERY SECRETS — A free heritage talk by Oregon pioneer descendant Charolotte Lehan, "Written in Stone: Discoveries in Clackamas County's Historical Cemeteries," will be presented at Clackamas Community College training center, 29353 S.W. Town Center Loop East, Wilsonville. Doors open at 5 p.m., talk begins at 5:30 p.m.

MUSIC FOR SENIORS — A benefit concert for Fly Me to the Moon, a nonprofit that brings live music to seniors in group facilities, will feature violinist Aaron Meyer, 3 Leg Torso, Julie Amici and Duffy Bishop on at the Alberta Abbey in Portland. Tickets at
