The City of Wilsonville starts projects to improve three roads
The City of Wilsonville announced last week in a press release that projects to widen Garden Acres Road between Day Road and Ritter Road and to resurface sections of Boones Ferry Road and Wilsonville Road are underway.
The City is widening Garden Acres Road from 31 to 32 feet and adding a bike lane, underground utility cables and a water pipeline.
The City received a loan to pay for the project and is hoping that the improvements will lead to private sector investment in the Coffee Creek Industrial Area. A second phase of the project that will improve the future intersection where Garden Acres Road meets Day Road and Grahams Ferry Road has yet to be funded.
The City is also resurfacing Boones Ferry Road between Wilsonville Road and Boeckman Road and the section will be closed for a portion of this construction period. Also, the resurfacing project on Wilsonville Road between Willamette Way West and Kinsman Road will take place weekdays from 7 a.m. to 9 p.m. These resurfacing projects will include new asphalt, pedestrian signal improvements and new roadway striping and are expected to be finished by November.
