The power of purple for local communities
In an effort to help children struggling with cancer and other serious illness, local girls decided to give back. The Lavender Girls is a group of eight West Linn High School and Athey Creek and Rosemont Ridge middle school students who created and sold lavender-themed gifts at their annual sale Saturday-Sunday, Aug. 17-18. They sold items including bundles of lavender, jewelry, desserts and bath products. All proceeds benefit the Children's Cancer Association.
