CITY COUNCIL — Wilsonville City Council meets in a confidential executive session at 5 p.m. with a public work session following and a 7 p.m. general meeting. City Hall, 29799 S.W. Town Center Loop E.

Friday, March 6

ST. PADDY'S DAY — Prominent Celtic musicians Eddie Parente, Conor O'Bryan and Thom Dudley play from 7:30-11 p.m. at the Winona Grange, 8340 S.W. Seneca St., Tualatin. The community ceili (dance and gathering) is open to newcomers and beginners. The cost is $12 or $10 for seniors and students.

HISTORICAL SOCIETY — Wilsonville-Boones Ferry Historical Society meets at 1 p.m. and welcomes newcomers and those interested in promoting local history and preserving today for tomorrow's generations. Wilsonville Library, 8200 S.W. Wilsonville Road.

ST. CYRIL'S — St. Cyril Church Women present Rev. Peter Artega, speaking about Blessed Conchita, lay woman, mystic and apostle, from 9:30-11:30 a.m., 9205 S.W. Fifth St., Wilsonville.

SPACE TALK — Hear Evergreen Aviation and Space Museum docent John Jennings talk about the search for life in the universe and why the presence of water is so important. Free event, 1 p.m. Wilsonville Library, 8200 S.W. Wilsonville Road.

SPRING CONCERT — The Willamette Falls Symphony will perform Beethoven's Symphony No. 7, Mendelsssohn's Herbides Overature and Bottesnini's Double Bass Concerto No. 1 during a 3 p.m. spring concert at Oregon City Methodist Church, 18955 S. South End Road, Oregon City. Tickets available at the door.


AGE IN PLACE — Retired nurse Diane Dennis will present "Aging in Place - A Balacing Act" from 11 a.m.-noon Wednesday, March 4, at the Wilsonville Adult Community Center. She will introduce the dynamics of aging at home, giving resources, information and available options for aging in place, whether that is home, Independent living, or senior care centers.

WARNING SIGNS — The Alzheimers Association will present a free educational program on the "10 Warning Signs of Alzheimers," from 10-11:30 a.m. March 12. The presentation aims to separate myth from reality and address commonly held fears about Alzheimer's in America at this event held at Wilsonville Parks & Rec Administration Building, 29600 Park Place Court, Wilsonville. TAX HELP — Experienced tax preparers will be available at the Wilsonville Library to answer questions and help fill out tax forms from 10 a.m.-2 p.m. Bring all necessary documents, including your 2018 records. Ongoing Saturdays through April 11.

CCC THEATER — The Clackamas Community College Theatre Department presents a comic masterpiece, "The Cripple of Inishmaan" from Feb. 27-March 6. On the remote Irish island of Inishmaan in 1934, word is out that a Hollywood film is being made on the neighboring island of Inishmore. "Cripple Billy" decides to risk everything to escape his tedious life if only he can be cast in the film and move to Hollywood. Visit to find out more.
