We know a baseball team from Wilsonville took the state championship in 1914 — but that's all we know. We don't know the date, what league they might have played in or whether any of the players' descendants live in the area.
Team members were: Roy, Chick and Tom Baker; Herman Moore; Bob Colvin; Lowell Thompson; Ed White; George Stangel and Andy Hasselbrink. Bill Flynn was the manager, and the umpire was a barber from Portland who came to Wilsonville to officiate at the games.
