Limited Wilsonville Library reopening starts Tuesday
The Wilsonville Public Library is opening its building to the public starting Tuesday, June 23.
However, for now, the library is only allowing pickups for items on hold. Other services like browsing bookshelves, using meeting rooms and accessing computers are not available. The city of Wilsonville said services will be added over time.
Some safety precautions to prevent the spread of the novel coronavirus include: requiring face coverings and physical distancing, a limited capacity for visitors and materials being quarantined for three days after they're returned. The library installed sneeze guards and floor decals for the purposes of maintaining safety and enforcing social distancing.
The library is also continuing to host programs and activities virtually rather than in person.
As for hours, the building will be open 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. Tuesdays, as well as Thursday through Saturday, and from 2-8 p.m. Wednesdays. The library will be closed Sunday and Monday.
