City Development Review Board approves new Charbonneau activity center
A project to build a new activity center at Charbonneau Country Club has passed its most significant regulatory hurdle.
The city of Wilsonville's Development Review Board A approved construction of the center — which will be located at a former restaurant next to the Charbonneau Country Club headquarters — during a meeting Monday, Jan. 11.
The center is slated to include an office for homeowner's association administration, board room, library/lounge, large gathering room, game room, exercise facilities and multi-purpose meeting rooms. The center will be two stories high and include 16,760 square feet.
The center's development is projected to reduce traffic compared to when the former restaurant was open, with the new center projected to use just 72 parking spaces to meet demand instead of the 95 spaces used by the restaurant.
City staff recommended approval of the application. Construction is planned to begin this spring.
