State police are looking for suspect in collision on Highway 551 Sunday morning

While riding a bicycle on Highway 551, Wilsonville resident Eric Wieber, 37, was killed by a vehicle in a hit-and-run collision at 1:45 a.m. Sunday, July 11.

A release from the Oregon State Police indicated Wieber was hit from behind by the vehicle, which the OSP described as a white 2008-14 Subaru Tribeca, while traveling northbound. After being transported to the hospital, Wieber was pronounced dead. The driver, meanwhile, fled the scene.

The passenger-side headlight and mirror of the vehicle were said to have been damaged in the crash. If you have information on the incident or the suspect vehicle, contact the Oregon State Police Northern Command Center at 800-442-0776 and refer to case number SP21-194026.
