Wilsonville hosting event for shredding sensitive documents
The city of Wilsonville is helping its residents dispose of sensitive documents through an annual event in collaboration with the organization Shred-it 9 a.m. to 2 p.m. Saturday, Nov. 6, at Wilsonville City Hall, according to a city press release.
At the event, which includes protocols to reduce the possibility of spreading COVID-19, residents will drop off their documents in recycling bins. The contents are then placed into Shred-it trucks and subsequently shredded. The event is free but the local government is encouraging attendees to donate money to Wilsonville Community Sharing, which provides food and assistance to community members in need.
