The event at the Korean War Memorial in town was held to honor United States veterans.

Community members showed their appreciation for those who have served our country during a Veterans Day event at the Korean War Memorial in Town Center Park Thursday, Nov. 11.

The event included a posting of the colors by the Aurora squadron of the Civil Air Patrol, speeches from Wilsonville Mayor Julie Fitzgerald, American Legion Post 65 Commander Larry Edwards and others, as well as a wreath presentation. The Oregon chapter of the Korean War Veterans Association hosted the proceedings.
