Have a TV to get rid of? Bulky Waste Day is coming soon in Wilsonville
Bulky Waste Day, a Wilsonville event where residents can dispose of large items that cannot be regularly discarded through trash pickups, is scheduled for 9 a.m. to 1 p.m. Saturday, May 14 at Republic Services on Ridder Road.
Some items that could be discarded include dishwashers, televisions, refrigerators, water heaters, scrap metal and untreated wood, according to a city of Wilsonville press release. Construction debris, propane bottles or canisters, paint, batteries, solvents, thinners, household garbage, car tires and yard debris, however, are not accepted.
The event is free of charge but the city is asking people to provide gift cards from local merchants, which will go to community members in need through Wilsonville Community Sharing. Proof of residency is required.
