On Friday, Nov. 11, the city of Wilsonville will participate in a ceremony honoring veterans.

The Veterans Day ceremony is scheduled to run from 11 a.m. to noon at the Oregon Korean War Memorial located at 29600 Park Place in Wilsonville.

"It is going to recognize the accomplishments and sacrifices made by all veterans who have served in the armed forces," said Wilsonville Mayor Julie Fitzgerald during a City Council meeting Nov. 7.

Four wreaths will be placed at the memorial from the city, the Korean War Veterans Association, the American Legion and the Korean War Memorial Foundation of Oregon, said Chuck Lusardi, president of the Oregon Trail chapter of the Korean War Veterans Association. Lusardi will also preside as the master of ceremonies.

There will also be a presentation of colors from cadets of the Aurora squadron and a flyover by the West Coast Ravens.
