Wilsonville residents must enroll in new utility payment portal
Wilsonville residents should double check that they've paid their water and sewage bills, said city finance director Keith Katko.
The city has updated the software it uses, including the utility payment portal. Residents who previously had their bill set on autopay must register with the new portal and set autopay up again.
"All autopay stopped with the old software and they have to re-enroll for the new software," said Wilsonville Finance Operations Supervisor Cricket Jones.
The decision to halt autopay was made to protect customer bank account and credit card information, Jones said.
The new software will offer residents more options to pay their bills, including PayPal, Venmo and Apple Pay, Jones said. The new system also stores past invoices, has a text-to-pay option and reminder settings.
Residents will also notice that electronic copies of their bills come from a new email address and include a link to their bill as opposed to a PDF, Jones said.
