Schrader wrong to sponsor labeling bill

Like many busy families in Wilsonville, we can't always follow what's going on in Washington DC. When I found out that our member of Congress is working with the chemical industry to make it easier to use and hide toxic chemicals in everyday products, I became concerned. As a parent and someone who has lived in Oregon for over 40 years, I've come to expect more from our elected officials. I want families in Wilsonville to know about a disturbing law being sponsored by Congressman Kurt Schrader.

The ironically named "Accurate Labels Act," uses outdated thinking and ignores the latest science linking toxic chemicals found in products to health impacts in people.

Schrader's law would make it even easier for chemical manufacturers to keep ingredients secret. It would limit our freedom to choose safer products. And that is not okay!
