Coupled with my 14 years of higher education board experience, I am prepared to serve in this moment.

I am honored to be your next School Board Director in Position 1.

As a native Oregonian, born and raised in Northeast Portland, I had dreams but truth be told they never came this far. My humble upbringing, shaped by my parents' substance abuse, gave me a great appreciation for the life I have been blessed with. I am passionate about my faith, health, family, finance and community. I believe the amazing relationships in my life, both personally and professionally, have impacted and influenced the man I have become. Coupled with my 14 years of higher education board experience, I am prepared to serve in this moment. Taylor

In 2003, I joined the WLWV community. My vision for my new life in West Linn was to build a family with a foundation centered around education. I was raised in public schools, so a great public school district was something I desired for my girls. WLWV School District, consistently being one of the top ranked school districts in the state of Oregon, made it an easy choice. I believe these rankings should also come with great responsibility which is the reason why I am running for Position 1.

Immediate strategies for students to return to a safe, full 5-day school week

We have all had different experiences during the Covid-19 epidemic. The mental pressures that have been thrust on students and families have been heavy and in some cases life altering. That is why I am championing a safe return to a full-time schedule.

Build a culture of trust, transparency and inclusivity with robust community input

The character and culture of a community shapes its identity. I am committed to earning and retaining the community's trust. Regardless of our economic or social status there is a need for an investment into all socioeconomic classes so all voices are heard and considered.

Monitor the District's budget, ensuring our programs meet immediate and long-term priorities

As the owner of a financial company and a previous Chairman of an academic financial committee, budgets are not new to me. I will bring a wealth of experience to our District and help us to achieve long-range financial goals.

Champion the creation of DEI oversight strategies that are sustainable and serve the whole child

Part of the responsibility we each hold in this community is to be a leader in the quest for diversity, equity, and inclusion. We should not simply meet the standard but take pride in setting the standard. I have personally made a commitment to my two daughters to be a voice and an example for their future experiences within our school district. I will carry that same commitment to serving all students.

I am proudly supported by amazing members of our community and school leadership. I hope to earn your support as well:

Julie Fitzgerald, Chelsea King, Regan Molatore, Rory Bialostosky, Chael Sonnen, Alex Molden, Mark Handris, and many more.
