Ben Wiley: Candidate understands what officers need to be successful in keeping our community safe

We represent over 440 members of the law enforcement community in Clackamas County. Our work at the Clackamas County Peace Officers Association is done with honesty and integrity and we strive to identify candidates who take an interest in talking to police officers and finding out what they need to be successful in keeping our community safe.PMG FILE PHOTO - After checking for valid fare, a police officer arrests a suspect on an identity-theft charge at the Clackamas Town Center.

Before the May 2022 primary, myself and a group of our members interviewed Ben and his opponent. From those interviews, we quickly determined Ben is the only candidate for Clackamas County Commissioner Position 5 who wholeheartedly supports law enforcement. Ben's goal is to fully fund law enforcement will aid our ability to keep our community safe.

Clackamas County is a unique community, and we need leaders like Ben who understand the needs of all Clackamas County residents. I hear from our members time and again, "We need Ben!"

Vote with your local law enforcement members for the clear choice in this election. Vote for Ben West as Clackamas County commissioner.

Ben Wiley

Clackamas County Peace Officers Association president
