Prusse and Whitaker take top spots in HOKA ONE ONE 2 Mile Postal Challenge against the Foxes

PAMPLIN MEDIA GROUP PHOTO: JIM BESEDA - Sophomore Samantha Prusse competed in the HOKA ONE ONE 2 Mile Postal Challenge in Silverton on Thursday, Sept. 28. The Wildcats went down to Silverton to compete in the HOKA One One 2 Mile Postal Challenge and took hold of a majority of the top spots. Senior Nicholas Whitaker finished first in the two miles 5K 19:00 and under race with a time of nine minutes 53.2 seconds (9.53.2).

The lone female racer in that same race was Silverton junior Jori Paradis who finished her run with a time of 11:59.5. In the two miles 5K 22:00 and under race, Wilsonville sophomore Samantha Prusse finished first in her bracket with 12:07, but she didn't have the fastest time of the girls teams. Wilsonville junior Kayla Bolnick, who competed in the 25:00 and under race, ran her two miles in 10:54.3.

Wilsonville's cross country teams next compete in the Harrier Classic at Bryant Park in Albany on Saturday, Oct. 7.
