Albany—Wilsonville was represented in the Harrier Classic at Bryant Park in Albany on Saturday, Oct. 7 and while the varsity teams did not claim top spot in the meet, they did have top 10 finishers representing the Wildcat blue and silver.

Sophomore Samantha Prusse ran a personal best 19 minutes 11.9 seconds (19:11.9) in the 5,000 meter race to take the seventh spot. The next closest Wilsonville finisher in the girls race was junior Angel Bohn who ran her own personal record of 20:13.6 to take 36th overall.

For the Wildcats boys team, senior Nicholas Whitaker set a personal best and claimed first place with a time of 15:50.8, beating Crescent Valley freshman Drew Roberts by six seconds. The next closest finisher for Wilsonville was senior Jonathan Palmer, who took the 49th spot with a time of 17:25.5.

The Wilsonville cross country teams next compete at the Heiser Farms XC Race in Dayton, Oregon on Friday, Oct. 13.
