Boys golf takes eighth at state
The Wilsonville boys golf team came up short against the seven other teams this past week at Trysting Tree Golf Club in Corvallis on May 13 and 14. The Wildcats collectively shot 165 over par with a 733 total score.
The top shooter for Wilsonville was sophomore Braden Garrow at 29th, who shot 31 over par. Garrow shot 87 and 86 in the first and second rounds, respectively, making par four times on the front nine of the second round.
The next best golfer was junior Baker McQueen, who was tied for 39th when all was said and done with Ridgeview freshman Dylan Bojanowski. McQueen made par five times, including on a pair of par fives on the back nine. McQueen's final score was 92 in the second round and 178 over both rounds.
In the 53rd spot was junior Ryan Berry who finished with a total score of 188. While there were several bogies on his scorecard in the second round, Berry did manage a birdie on the 14th hole, a par five.
Right behind him in 54th place was senior Ryan Jeffrey with a two round total of 194. Junior Jacob Hausserman finished in the 58th spot.
