Roche earned one of 10 $1,000 scholarships, Haaga named assistant coach of the year

Over 360 coaches and family members were honored Saturday, May 18, at the 2019 Oregon Athletic Coaches Association Awards Banquet. The banquet was highlighted with the presentation of several NFHS awards, including two national, 12 section 8, and two state Coaches of the Year awards. Ten $1,000 scholarships also were presented, eight of those to graduating sons and daughters of OACA members.

Wilsonville senior Jack Roche was a student-athlete scholarship award winner, and Tommy Haaga was named assistant coach of the year. Full award winners are listed below.

Years of Service awards were announced and presented to coaches with 25, 30, 35, 40, 45, 50 and 55 years of service.

2018-19 "COACHES OF THE YEAR" Plaques were presented to coaches in Baseball, Boys & Girls Basketball, Boys & Girls Cross Country, Football, Boys & Girls Golf, Boys & Girls Soccer, Softball, Boys & Girls Swimming, Boys & Girls Tennis, Boys & Girls Track & Field, Volleyball and Wrestling in each of the six classifications.*
