In all-star game, two of Wilsonville's best will compete on the North's roster

The Freightliner Oregon All-Star Series, which showcases the state's top senior 6A and 5A high school baseball players, unveiled its North and South rosters this morning, as announced by 6A coordinators Jake Anders and John Arntson and 5A coordinator Scot McDonald.

The two-game series, which also will feature a Home Run Derby presented by Jugs Sports, is set for June 22-23 at Oregon State University's Goss Stadium at Coleman Field.

The South roster includes three seniors from this year's 5A state champion, the Central Panthers. Central will be the most represented program in the Oregon All-Star Series. The South roster also features University of Oregon commit Decker Stedman of Thurston and Oregon State commit Ryan Brown of South Salem.

The North roster features outfielder Grant Schoen of Clackamas, a Pepperdine commit, and pitcher/infielder Jonathon Kelly of West Linn, an Xavier commit.

The North and South rosters are both made up of 20 selections. The 2019 North and South all-stars are:

The first game of the series is slated for Saturday, June 22, at OSU's Goss Stadium. First pitch is set for 7:15 p.m. A home run derby will open this year's Oregon All-Star Series. It will feature the top senior home run hitters from all 11 6A and 5A conferences. It gets started at 5:30 p.m. Saturday. The series concludes with a single 9-inning game starting at noon Sunday, June 23.

The Freightliner Oregon All-Star Series showcases the top 6A and 5A senior high school baseball players. There is no cost for the players and coaches to participate thanks to the event's title sponsor, Freightliner, and a partner lineup made up of the Hillsboro Hops, the Bend Elks, the Portland Pickles, NW Star Academy, the Old Timers & Active Baseball Association, the Dunn brothers, Prep Baseball Report, Gunderson Pitching Academy, Jugs Sports, Oregon City Sporting Goods, Washington Park Advisors, Visit Corvallis and the University Inn Corvallis.

The Oregon All-Star Series is run and hosted by Knights Baseball Club Inc., the operators of the Corvallis Knights of the West Coast League.
