Wildcats quarterback passed for more than 2,000 yards and 30 touchdowns this fall

Wilsonville quarterback Jayce Knapp, who passed for 2,281 yards and 30 touchdowns during his junior season, was voted the Class 5A Special District 1 West Offensive Player of the Year.

Knapp was one of six Wildcats selected to the First Team offense along with wide receiver Payton Dart, tackle Khodi Gibson, guard Jake Moore, running back Lucas Graves and kicker Jacob Haussermann.

Dart caught 52 passes for 896 yards and 12 touchdowns.

Graves finished with 842 total yards and three touchdowns.

Haussermann made 47 of 51 extra points and 10 of 13 field goals, including a long of 46 yards.

Wilsonville had four players voted to the First Team defense: Moore, Matthew Labunsky, Chad Overholt and Mason Dean.

On the defensive line, Moore recorded 47 total tackles, five sacks and recovered two fumbles.

Labunsky and Overholt, both linebackers, had 74 and 70 total tackles, respectively. Labunsky also had seven sacks and recovered two fumbles.

Dean led Wilsonville with eight interceptions to go along with 34 tackles.

Dean also was selected to the Second Team as a punt and kickoff returner.

Overholt (fullback) and Noah Ochs (center) also were voted to the Second Team offense.

Overholt scored nine touchdowns this season.

Jack Kimball, Austin Rust and Colby Guenther were all selected to the Second Team defense.

At defensive end, Kimball recorded 58 total tackles and 131?„2 sacks. Rust (corner) had 47 tackles and recovered two fumbles. Guenther (safety) recorded 72 total tackles.

Honorable mentions included Kimball (tight end), Haussermann (punter), Ochs (defensive line), Frank Cooper (linebacker), Kellen Hartford (safety), Josh McKenzie (wide receiver) and Cade Butterworth (guard).

The Wildcats finished 6-0 in Special District 1 West, outscoring their opponents 307 to 79.
