The Wilsonville High School girls soccer team prevailed 4-2 over La Salle in the Class 5A state championship.

An unforgettable season for the Wilsonville girls soccer team ended with a Class 5A state championship Saturday, Nov. 13, as the Wildcats earned a 4-2 victory over La Salle at Hillsboro Stadium.

The Wildcats ended their season with a record of 18-0-1, while La Salle finished at 15-3-1.

Wilsonville grabbed a 2-0 victory in the first half off of two goals from Lindsay Antonson (Oregon's all-time leading scorer). La Salle answered with a goal from Emelia Warta with four minutes left in the first half, then tied the game just before halftime with another goal from Warta.

But Wilsonville pulled away in the second half, as Antonson completed a hat trick with a goal on a penalty kick and Dalton Mermis followed with another goal off a corner kick.
