Local students receive art scholarships, graduate and make the dean's list at school

Way to go, EOU students

Cassandra Odell and Jerimy Reis of Wilsonville made Eastern Oregon University's 2019 winter dean's list. Students must receive a 3.5 GPA or higher and be enrolled in 12 or more credits to make the dean's list.

Congratulations, COCC student

Kaylee Gould of Wilsonville made it on Central Oregon Community College's winter 2019 dean's list. Students who receive a 3.6 GPA or higher and are enrolled in 12 or more credits are eligible.

Art students get scholarships

During the Clackamas Education Service District Art Show May 1, Wilsonville High School students Eleanor Karrick and Wren Perrote were two of five Clackamas County high school seniors selected to win a $20,000 scholarship from the Pacific Northwest College of Art for their work.

The five students also were awarded with a One River Art School — an art school in Lake Oswego — Group Exhibition and one hour of group exhibition mentoring.

Rosemont Ridge Middle School student Jesika Conner won the Jurors Choice Middle School Award and received two months of instruction and a one week of summer camp from One River School, along with a Georgie's Ceramic & Clay gift card.

Emporia student to graduate

Sheila Shapiro of Wilsonville will graduate from Emporia State University with a master's degree in library science with a concentration in youth services this May.
