School district honors retirees
West Linn-Wilsonville schools will say goodbye to 27 educators at the end of the school year as they retire.
Retiring staff members were recognized for their many contributions to WL-WV students during the district's annual celebration Thursday, May 30. Those honored included:

Register for environmental summer camp
Children can explore, learn and play at the Environmental Learning Center (ELC) camp at Clackamas Community College's Oregon City campus, 19600 Molalla Ave., this summer.
The ELC is offering two hands-on camps for children in first through fifth grade over three weeks.
The Nature Spy Water Camp for first and second graders gives children the opportunity to explore wetlands, make crafts, discover water-related creatures and more, July 8-11, July 15-18 and July 29-Aug. 1. The camp costs $230.
Another camp that is offered is the Nature Spy Astronomy Camp for third through fifth graders.
Campers will learn about the solar system, hunt for micrometeorites, experience the power of the sun through solar oven-baked s'mores and more, July 8-11 and July 15-18. The camp costs $250.
The summer camps are from 9 a.m.-4 p.m. and before and after care is available. Scholarships are offered on a first-come, first-served basis.
¦ Sofia Gumusoglu of Wilsonville graduated from the University of Iowa in May.
¦ Annika Oetken, Mary Roberts and Benjamin Scott of Wilsonville graduated from Montana State University in May. Oetken graduated with honors.
Reynolds recognized for service to district
For Betty Reynolds, Monday, June 10, was the last meeting as a member of the school board. Reynolds served two terms on the board and has been a volunteer and advocate of the district longer than that. The school district thanks Reynolds for her many years of service and for her dedicated commitment to WL-WV students.
Families sought to host exchange students
The ASSE International Student Exchange Program is looking for local families to host high school boys and girls from Europe, Asia, the Americas, Australia and South Africa.
