Wilsonville seventh and eighth graders can learn to row this summer break during rowing classes

COURTESY PHOTO - Rowing classes are available this summer for local middle schoolers. The Rose City Rowing Club will teach incoming seventh and eighth graders how to row in a six-week series of class at the Portland Boathouse, 1515 S.E. Water Ave. The classes are Tuesdays and Thursdays, June 18-July 25, from 10:30 a.m. to 12:30 p.m. Classes cost $120 for the session.

There are classes available for students with and without experience.

Rowing is a teamwork-oriented sport that requires consistent dedication from each team member. The kids learn how to set goals and work every day toward achieving them. They can grow into strong, fit, well-balanced athletes, with minimal risk of injury. The club offers classes for middle and high school students.
