The West Linn-Wilsonville School District will be awarded $7.2 million if voters approve the bond

PMG FILE PHOTO - The WL-WV School District was awarded grant funds that can be used toward 2019 bond projects if voters approve the capital bond during the November election.If voters approve the West Linn-Wilsonville School District's 2019 capital bond measure in the November election, the district would receive an additional $7.2 million in grant funds. This would increase the bond total to about $214 million.

The school district applied for the Oregon Department of Education's Office of School Facilities grant and was awarded the additional funds only if voters approve the bond. Funds can be used toward any of the projects outlined in the capital bond, though WL-WV Communications Director Andrew Kilstrom anticipates it will primarily go toward projects at the current Athey Creek Middle School and Inza R. Wood middle school sites.
