Learn how to become a volunteer in West Linn-Wilsonville schools, back to school nights approaching and more

Want to be a volunteer?

Community members interested in volunteering in West Linn-Wilsonville schools can fill out an application on the district's website at www.helpcounterweb.com/welcome/apply.php?district=wlwv — this includes a background check. First-time volunteers have to accept a volunteer agreement, and volunteers must register every three years or when volunteering at a new school. Volunteer coaches register through a different process and can contact the school's athletic director or principal for more information.

The school district uses HelpCounter for volunteer registration and sign-in for safety and security purposes.

Update emergency contact details

As the 2019-20 school year kicks off, it's a good time to make sure everything is current. Don't forget to update your student's emergency contacts in case of an emergency. Call the appropriate school office to update this information.

Back-to-school nights gear up

Back-to-school and curriculum nights are in full swing. At the start of every school year, this provides parents and guardians with an opportunity to meet their student's teachers and explore their class schedules. Boeckman Creek Primary's back-to-school night is Sept. 12, Lowrie Primary's is Sept. 19, and Boones Ferry Primary's back to school night is Sept. 12. All three primary's back to school nights are 90 minutes long, from 6-7:30 p.m. Inza R. Wood Middle School's back-to-school night will be from 6:30-8:30 p.m. Sept. 17, and Wilsonville High School's will be at the same time Sept. 11.
